When the Band was founded by Greg "DOC" Hockett he choose
to focus on the song's we all grew up on that we all consider
"Feel Good" Music from the 50's & 60's or the true "Classic

From Chanute, Kansas, Dave learned
piano at an early age from Chanute's
iconic piano teacher, Verda Geer, and
has kept her boogie woogie style playing
alive and well. In his youth surrounded
by his brothers music influences of "The
Common Few?", ISAAC, & MSFunk, he
started his own band in the late 60's &
70's called "Heaven" which was a large
Chicago style horn band. Dave went
through school on Music Scholarships
playing many different instruments in
College Band usually Organ, Trumpet &
Trombone. Dave always was quick to
learn new instruments to use in the many
rock bands he performed in. Dave has
used his background in engineering with
his company to stay close to the music
industry, helping with the "Kansas Music
Hall of Fame" and while Lions Governor
creating the "Kansas Lions Rock Hall of
Fame" this was the begining of reuniting
is oldtime music friends with the creation
of the "Lions All Star Band"
Aaron was born and raised in
Chanute, Kansas still lives in the
Chanute/Humboldt area. Through
the years he has played with
"Johnny & the Rebels" and "the
Flatlanders" locally. He also spent
several months with "Wicked", a
touring band from Minneapolis,
Minnesota in the early 90's. Aaron
has a successful roofing business
in Chanute called Hockett Roofing.
Although he has played many
family functions with his dad,
(Greg) since he was 11 years old,
"the Past Blasters" is the first
band they've been in
together.....and they both think it
is long overdue.
